KUVO plays the entire spectrum of recorded jazz, from its inception in the 1920s, through the swing era, from be-bop to post-bop, from the 1960′s soul jazz movement through 1980′s fusion jazz and onward to the latest recordings. The station spotlights local musicians and student groups in live performances.
The BFOJ is dedicated to the preservation, promotion, and performance of traditional Dixieland jazz and sponsors monthly jam sessions, with a dance floor for those inclined to move.
The area’s only listening-room jazz club, Denver restaurant Dazzle showcases top national and local musicians.
The newest addition to Denver’s jazz scene, Nocturne serves up jazz and award-winning cuisine in an elegant setting straight out of a ’30′s movie.
This award-winning program informs and inspires the next generation of jazz musicians. Student performances are free and open to the jazz-loving public.
